I worked at Beacon Lodge in 1991, 1992 and 1993.
It was a turning point in my life. I think about how I have grown as person because of my time working there. I would like to hear from people.
There is one guy from India that I would like to hear from. 3 of us drove to Pittsburgh after camp
and I never got contact information from this guy.
I was not nice to him and I always want to tell him I am sorry. I now work with a lot of Indian people of the Hindu faith. When I was in my 20's I was so close minded and now I am 39 and I am not that same guy. I also want so tell Sandy I wish I were a better friend. look for me on facebook.

Hello to fellow campers and also the current and previous counselors who have posted here. My name is Jim Hunt. Some people on the MyTelespace phone chat system know me as "SlimJim". I got back yesterday from this year's Adult Camp Session 6 (July 18th through the 29th). I love Beacon Lodge. BLC is the place to be!

I am the one and only grandchild of Carl Shoemaker. I had the priviledge of meeting him for the first time when I was 14. That was many years ago.I was able to visit and stay with him at the camp for a few summers. It is an amazing camp! He was an amazing man! I don't know if any of you knew him, if so I'm sure you would agree! I had forgotton the name of the camp and I am not much of a computer person; however; I thought I would google him and I pulled up the camp. It is really cool how he is still effecting people long after his passing! What an amazing legacy!
I hope to be only half as great!
Patience
