I'm thrilled I found this site! I was a counselor in the adult camp in 1991 and 1992, and they were two of the best summers of my life. It was wonderful to look here and see so many familiar names. It really was a life changing experience in so many ways, and I don't regret it for a moment.

I worked at both the Children's Village and the Adult Camp in the mid 80's and early 90's. I have seen a lot of names in the guestbook I recognized. Please feel free to get in touch with me. By the way, if any of you from the AC remember Mary Trout, we were married in 1997. We adopted our daughter (Maya) from Guatemala in 2006. Hope to hear from some of you.

I made some great friends in campers and councellors alike. Maybe one day I will be privillaged enough to return to Beacon Lodge....

| Name: Ashley Shope From: Huntingdon, PA E-mail: AShope2004(at)aol.com | I worked as a counselor/fill-in canoe instructor in the adult camp (96 and 97) a little more than 10 years ago now I guess! I often think back to the lessons and triumphs taught to me by the wonderful staff and campers. Sometimes, I find myself wishing I could vacation from my full-time job during the summer to come back as a counselor. I miss a lot of the staff I worked with and, of course, the campers!!! I do see a few familiar faces in the pictures posted.

E-mail: albertford974(at)btinternet.com | Hi Mary Trout, I came over from scotland in the summer or 1991 as a camp councillor along with claire from ireland and jukka from finland.I have fab memories from beacon lodge and it proved to be a life changing experience which changed my direction in life.When i saw your entry i went into the attic to find photo's and a scrap book i made from camp.Do you remember dave spiker? we kept in touch for a while but have since lost contact.I also remember sandy,ernie,lisa x2,disa + keith and many more.It would be gr8 to hear from you and JD or anyone else who remembers me.
