Hello everybody,

I was a counselor in 1999. I had a great time at becon lodge. This I will never forget. I still think a lot of becon logde camp when I'm doing my work at home. I work with disabeled people. If I could I should do it agian but I am a mam now and I have to look after my son. I'm also pregnant for the second time and that's great.
It's nice to rread stories from people that I know like Melanie and Cathleen.

Bye bye Ester

was a camp counselor in 1987 and 1988(waterfront director). i remember jd feagly well. beacon lodge was a life changing experience(my wife, stacey, was a counselor in '88). as a counselor i think i learned more from the campers of children's village than they learned from me. the web site is wonderful and the camp looks as if it has changed quite a bit, but also stayed the same. any of the counselors orcv campers please contact me at petenace@gmail.com

Many great and fond memories for both my wife and I at Beacon Lodge. We were counselors in 1955 and our brother-in-law and sister were campers until 2006. My, how it has grown and how proud we are that we were in the early inception of camping for the wonderful people that were campers. We camp to visit Beacon Lodge for 50 years each summer and watched the tremendous growth in the campus. Unless you are still a camper from 1955, you will not know how much the Lion's have done for the blind people. God bless them and may they always keep well and memories

Hi I went to camp from 82 to 91 and I am looking for friends who I met there. If you would like to get in touch with me just use the email link there. I miss camp so much! Beacon Lodge really changed my life in many ways. Thanks for the memories and the fun!
My name was Terra Ault and now it's Terra Peterson.
I'm looking for a few people in particular: Stacey Drass, Lorna Benner, and Susan Frey. I'd like to talk to anyone who remembers me

Thank you Beacon Lodge for the wonderful memories I had there as a child. I think I left a mobile hanging above my bunk in 1978....is it still there? lol I remember a swimming hole and an old timey bowling alley. a steam train ride and a haunted house. Always something fun to do every day. I even saw Star Wars in it's first run on a "feild trip" Oh and the pantry...we got I think 25 to 50 cents a day to spen on candy...haha Anyway keep up the good work. I miss my youth.

We just wanted to say thank you to all the Lions that support this camp. I can't tell you how thankful we are for the opportunity you have given my son. There are so few places a person with multiple disabilities can go, but you provide and support this wonderful camp. Matt has enjoyed attending for several years now, 1st to the children’s camp, now to the adult camp. He hopes to be back this year.
Thank you,
The Butler fmaily
