I worked at Beacon Lodge during the summers of 1992 and 1993. It was the beginning of what is now my career. I manage a group home for people with special needs. I met a lot of awesome people while working at the camp. I'd love to get in touch with some of the counselors from those years. My email is xxlady_ravenxx@hotmail.com

My son Kyle began beacon camp last year, When here in Md no other camp would accept him becasue he has mutli disablities, Beacon camp fully accepted Kyle. The camp staff is the nicest and greatest , My son had a blast and I was comfortable with them caring for my son, I had no worries .Even though we have to drive 2hrs 30 mins to camp each year,we do it because we love it here and to the day Kyle cant go to camp anymore we will keep making the drive every year. Thanks so much for the kindness!!!

Hi. I've been thinking about Beacon Lodge a lot lately. I was a counselor/nature specialist (the bug lady) in 95, 96, and 97. My time at Beacon Lodge influenced so much about who I became, even my career choice. When people ask why I do what I do I also say "well, I was a counselor at a very special camp in PA....".

Every year at this time I want to go back to camp. Funny, the kids I remember as 6 year olds are 17!

Still wishing I could be in those beautiful mountains.

I was a counselor at Beacon Lodge in the summers of 1962 and 1963. I have such great memories of my summers there. I would really like to get back in touch with any of the staff or campers from that time so if you know of any of them or their email addresses please send them on to me. Thanks.

My Lord, was it over 20 years ago that I attended Beacon Lodge for an asthma camp? From 1983-1985 summers, I was there and what an incredible, indelible memory I have of the surroundings. From the fish pond, to the "A" frames that we camped in to the talent shows (we were Motley Crue one year, I played Tommy Lee), to swinging up in the rafters of our cabins getting Dave our counselor in trouble and scaring the new kids, up to Canteen time (and so many more). I truly miss the atmosphere, I guess that's why I ending up working for and eventually running a Little League Baseball camp in another wooded hideaway in Hillsgrove Pa. Thank you all for being a part of my memories and helping me grow as a person. Anyone else that attended camp at that time want to chat, leave me a line at jalogan@atlanticbb.net
